Working principle of level gauge
The level tube of a level gauge is made of glass. The inner wall of the level tube is a curved surface with a radius of curvature. The tube contains liquid. When the level gauge is tilted, the bubbles in the level tube move towards the raised end of the level gauge, thereby determining the position of the horizontal plane. The larger the radius of curvature of the inner wall of the level pipe, the higher the resolution. The smaller the radius of curvature, the lower the resolution. Therefore, the radius of curvature of the level pipe determines the accuracy of the level.
Surveyor maintenance

Principles of electronic level
The principle of electronic level meter includes inductive type and capacitive type. The measuring principle of a capacitive level meter is that a circular pendulum is freely suspended on a thin line, and the pendulum is affected by the gravity of the earth's center, and is suspended in a frictionless condition. "There are electrodes on both sides of the pendulum and the capacitance is equal when the gaps are the same. If the level gauge is affected by the workpiece to be measured, changes in the distance between the two gaps will result in differences in capacitance and angle.".
Use of level gauge and precautions
The scale value of the level gauge is expressed in terms of angle (seconds) or slope, which means the angle at which the bubble is offset by one grid of work tilt, or the height at which the bubble is offset by one grid of work surface tilt over a length of one meter. Due to the small inclination angle of the level used, tg, such as tg4 4 radian=0.02mm/1000mm, should be measured so that the working surface of the level is close to the surface being measured, and readings can only be taken after the bubbles stabilize. If it is necessary to measure the actual inclination value with a length of L, it can be calculated using the following formula. Actual inclination value=nominal graduation value L deviation grid number; For example, if the nominal graduation value is 0.02mm/m, L=200mm, and the number of deviation grids is 2, the actual inclination value=0.02/1000 * 200 * 2=0.008mm. To avoid measurement errors caused by inaccurate zero position of the level, it is necessary to check or adjust the zero position of the level before use.
Inspection and adjustment of the level gauge
The level gauge is a commonly used instrument for measuring the straightness of machine tool guide rails. It is used to check the straightness of the guide rails in the vertical plane and in the horizontal plane. Before using a level gauge to adjust the straightness of the guide rail, the level of the overall guide rail should be adjusted first. Place the level meter at the middle and both ends of the guide rail and adjust it to the horizontal state of the guide rail, so that the bubbles of the level meter can be maintained within the scale range at all parts. Then divide the guide rail into several equal sections for measurement, and smoothly connect the head and tail. Check and read each section, and then determine the movement direction of the level bubble and the actual scale passing number of the level.
